Farmers should get payment of wheat easily

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the farmers should get the payment of procured wheat easily and without any delay. They should not face any difficulty in obtaining their payment. Chouhan was discussing the pre-arrangements of wheat purchase, transport, storage and payment related arrangements at Mantralaya today. Chief Secretary B.P. Singh was also present at the meeting.

CM Chouhan said that there should be quality, transparency and accomplishment in wheat procurement work. There should be no irregularity or hindrance in procurement. All agencies affiliated to procurement should make advance preparations with coordination and adjustments within the time limit. Adequate cash should be available in commercial and cooperative banks during procurement period. Availability of cash as per need and storage estimate that is made in advance in various branches of banks in rural areas should be ensured. He told bank officers to make advance arrangements in this connection. He instructed the food and Civil Supplies Department to make information of availability and need of estimated amount for procurement available to the banks.

Chouhan told to make advance storage of jute bags as per estimated influx. A process for transporting procured wheat from the purchase centre to the storehouse should be on time. He said that the transportation work arrangements should be transparent and their constant monitoring should be ensured. It was told that currently 50 lakh jute bags are available.
