Agitation of Drishtiheen Berojgar Sangharsh Samiti ends after talks with Minister Bhargava

Bhopal: Social Justice, Disabled Welfare Minister Gopal Bhargava had detailed discussion with a delegation of visually challenged persons, staging agitation on their 23 demands by Drishtiheen Berojgar Sangharsh Samiti in Bhopal at his residence.  Drishtiheen Berojgar Sangharsh Samiti ended its agitation on the assurance of resolving their demands by Minister Bhargava.

Bhargava told the delegation that recruitment on the post of teachers will be made soon for divyang. Recruitment will be soon opened on grade III and IV posts in all departments soon. He said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will direct district collectors through video conference that divyang grade III and IV posts for Divyang should be filled up soon. He said that June 2018 has been set the deadline to fill up posts earmarked for Divyang.

 Bhargava said that appropriate action will be taken against officers who did not recruit disabled in time frame. He said that Rs 3 crore each is being availed to districts for school and hostel for divyang. Divyang brother and sisters don't have any problem in getting education through this fund. He said that the state government has proposed budget of Rs 450 crore for Divyang upliftment in the next budget session.

 Bhargava said that 100-seater hostel will start from July session in Bhopal for Divyang. Fifty seats will be for Divyang boys and 50 seats for girls in the hostel. He said that the state government is committed for development of Divyang persons.
 Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department, Ashok Shah, Bhopal Division Commissioner Ajat Shatru Shrivastava, departmental officers, officials of district and police administration were present on the occasion.-Window To News
