Gou-Palan Proves Blessing for Usha

Bhopal: Gou-Palan has become the mean for Smt. Usha Vishvakarma of village Louva Kothar-block Raipur Karchuliyan of Rewa district for poverty alleviation. Her cow has received a reward of Rs. 7500 in the form of Gopal Puraskaar in the block level competition. Her each cow of Indian breed ‘Gir’ gives 8 to 10 litres milk every day.
When Usha Vishwakarma joined the women self-help group formed under the Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihood Mission, she was imparted training of animal husbandry as the member of the group. After the training, she purchased a cow of Gir variety from the loan taken by her from the gram samiti of the Livelihood Mission. She started getting 8 to 10 litres milk daily from the cow due to the good care and cattle feed.
Presently, Usha Vaishwakarma is earning 10 thousand monthly by selling milk. She is also paying the installment regularly against the loan to the gram samiti.
Moreover, she has made a plan to double her income by purchasing one more cow. Usha Vishwakarma has adopted the path of development by linking herself with the animal husbandry profession under the Livelihood Mission scheme of the government.-Window To News
