Interesting, informative stories to be included in primary school syllabus

Bhopal: From the next academic session onwards, stories will be used to make education in government primary schools more effective, interesting and informative. Rajya Shiksha Kendra is collecting stories in local language through district project coordinators in all 51 districts. The collected stories will be used in the school syllabus. In this connection Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra Lokesh Jatav has written to the district coordinators to send the collection of stories by March 15 mandatorily to the state office.
Rajya Shiksha Kendra has told the district coordinators to make special efforts in every district to make maximum use of the mother tongue to make teaching more interesting. Attention should be paid to collection of stories in local language and dialect in the districts. Assistance of DIET should also be taken in collection of stories. It is told that the selected stories will be used in teaching through audio-video technique. In order to ensure that the stories are properly understood by the children, local dialects and languages like Urdu, Bundeli, Sahariya, Bhili, Korku, Malwi, Nimadi, Goudi, Baiga and Bagheli will be used.
Recommendation has been made in the whole country to make primary level classes more interesting in the National Curriculum. Use of mother tongue should be maximized. The collection of stories in the state is being undertaken under Department of School Education’s “Padhe Bharat-Badhe Bharat” programme. As many as 45 lakh 60 thousand children are studying in 83 thousand 890 government primary schools in state.-Window To News
