Bhopal: Registration of garlic producers will start from March 15 under Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana introduced on the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Registration will continue till March 31. Regarding registration, Principal Secretary Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department Dr. Rajesh Rajora has issued necessary instructions to collectors of 20 districts.
Registration of garlic producing farmers will be made on the portal of Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana in primary agriculture credit society and mandi samiti of 20 districts having garlic sowing in more than one thousand hectare. The districts in which registration will be carried out are Neemuch, Ratlam, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Indore, Sagar, Chhindwara, Shivpuri, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Chhatarpur, Agar-Malwa, Guna, Dhar, Dewas, Sehore, Rewa, Satna, Bhopal and Jabalpur.
Committee constituted for calculation of agriculture cost
State government has constituted committee for calculation of per hectare and per quintal cost of Kharif and Rabi crop of agriculture and horticulture crops. The committee's first meeting will be held on March 15.
Vice-Chancellor, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia, Agriculture University, Gwalior, will be chairman of the committee. Director Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development will be member secretary of the committee. Other members of the committee are director horticulture and food processing, managing director Madhya Pradesh State Agriculture Marketing Board, managing director, Madhya Pradesh State Seeds Certification Institute.
Principal Scientist, Agricultural Economics of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University, Gwalior has been included as special invitee member. Other members of the committee include Om Thakur (Seoni), Narayan Singh Patel (Narsinghpur) and Ashwini Singh Chouhan (Ujjain). According to the calculation sheet, the committee will submit information by calculating per hectare and per quintal cost of agriculture and horticulture crops of Kharif and Rabi crops, specified to the state government in seven days.-Window To News
