Sangeeta Damor becomes Bank Sakhi of Para village in Jhabua district

Bhopal: Sangeeta Damor of Para village, Rama block in Jhabua district availed state government Swarozgar loan scheme and set up her own enterprise. Today she has established herself as a bank representative. An Arts graduate Sangeeta has acquired training from RSETI Swarozgar Sansthan. Now she works as a bank officer in her area.
All small transactions of the villagers are now dealt by Sangeeta on which she gets her commission from the bank and the villagers get bank facility sitting at home. Sangeeta was unemployed earlier. She worked as a government guest teacher also but could not generate much income to meet his family’s needs. At times she would not even have enough money to pay her children’s school fees.
Sangeeta was selected as Bank Sakhi through RSETI Swarozgar Sansthan. She acquired a loan of Rs one lakh under Mukhya Mantri Arthik Kalyan Yojana from the bank for her work as Bank Sakhi. With the loan amount she purchased a laptop, internet connection and equipments to run a kiosk centre. To begin work she acquired training from RSETI Sansthan, Bank of Baroda. Sangeeta says that she had never thought that working as a Bank Sakhi, she would earn so much respect and money also.
After being selected as Bank Sakhi, Sangeeta became more self-confident due to which she is working efficiently for the bank. She now generates around Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 every month from the village with which she is able to fend for her family.-Window To News
