960 government schools to be upgraded in academic session 2018-19

Bhopal: As many as 960 government schools are being upgraded from academic session 2018-19 for globalization of school education in state. In this academic session 340 Government High Schools will be upgraded to Higher Secondary schools and 620 Government Middle Schools will be upgraded to High Schools.

The Department of School Education has directed to ensure all essential arrangements for the implementation of state government’s decision to concerned district education officers. Improved arrangements will be ensured in the upgraded schools.

The Department of School Education has approved a Rs 385 crore scheme to make food and residential arrangements available in district level schools of excellence in 41 districts of the state. With adequate hostel facility, students residing in rural areas will also be able to acquire education in these schools of excellence.-Window To News
