Arrangement of Rs 1,443 crore for maintenance of rural roads
Bhopal: Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargav said that maintenance work of all rural roads damaged due to heavy traffic will be undertaken. Proper flow of funds for the work will be ensured. He told that the maintenance work of 2 thousand 335 km roads has been completed so far. Rs 868 crore has been spent on the work so far.
The rural development minister said that the asphalted roads of the region have become damaged due to heavy loaded vehicles coming out from the stone and sand mines situated in the rural areas. Local citizens have to face problems. He said that the Panchayat and Rural Development Department is undertaking the work of crust upgradation of such roads through Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Authority to solve this problem.
Minister Gopal Bhargav told that 501 roads of 3, 444 km length have been marked in the state. A provision of Rs one thousand 443 crores has been made for maintenance of these roads from the departmental head.-Window To News
