Madhya Pradesh Leads in Women Empowerment: Minister Dr. Mishra

Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra participated in Shaurya Dal and Mukhya Mantri Samudayik Netratva Kshamta Vikas programme held at Datia today. The programme was presided over by the President District Panchayat Smt. Rajni Prajapati.

Dr. Mishra said that Madhya Pradesh government is working with utmost sincerity and sensitivity for women empowerment. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country, where Ladli Laxmi Yojana was started. Beside this, women have empowered through Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign, Shaurya Dal and by giving reservation in government jobs. He further mentioned that women are leading in every field today, self-dependence is making them strength of their families. Several schemes to assist women from birth to education, employment and marriage have been conducted by the state government.

President District Panchayat Smt. Rajni Prajapati said that the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana has proved blessing for the poor women. President Janpad Panchayat Smt. Rita Yadav also addressed the programme. Aaganbadi workers, officers and employees, who performed the best were honoured with citation letters in the programme.-Window To News
