Lok Sabha Speaker Smt. Mahajan lays foundation of Ujjain-Fatehabad Guage Conversion works

Bhopal: The Speaker Lok Sabha Smt. Sumitra Mahajan laid foundation of Ujjain-Fatehpur Chandravatganj guage conversion and railway line multification work of Gambhir Bridge today. Both the works will be completed within a period of 18 months. Smt. Mahajan praised the works being carried out by the railway in the Malwa region and congratulated the local people.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the union government has constantly increased the budget of Madhya Pradesh’s railway projects after 2014. Under this, works maily new railway lines, upgradation of stations, guage conversion and multification of railway line have been carried out. Chouha also gave approval for construction of railway bridge on Kshipra River at village Haat Pipaliya of Agar district.

Union Minister for Railways Piyush Goyal stated that the Chief Minister Chouhan has changed the face of Madhya Pradesh. It is a matter of pride that the state is getting the Krishi Karman Award for the 5th time consecutively. He made several announcements on the occasion, including plying of Mahakaal express for rail connectivity between Ujjain to Vishwanath or Somnath Jyotirling, Bialspur to Bhagat ki Kothi and halt of Bikaner to Bilaspur train at Alot and stopage of Ranthambore Express and Indore –Bhopal intercity at Mahidpur road and Kalapipal respectively.

Goyal said that on the demand of stopage of Indore-Pune express at Khachrod will be considered. Moreover, he made announcement to attach 12 coach in place of 8 coach in the train plying between Ambedkar Nagar-Mhow to Ratlam, to set up reservation office at district headquarters of Agar-Malwa and to start Bhind-Gwalior-Indore-Ratlam train shortly. He gave order for renewal of yard within 15 months to ensure trains movement from platform no. 8 of Ujjain. Goyal further stated that rail connectivity will improve due to the guage conversion and will benefit the area.

Union Minister for Social Justice Thawarchand, M.P. Dr. Satyanarayan Jatiya and Lok Sabha Member Prof. Chintamani Malviya also addressed the programme.

Minister for Energy Paras Jain, MP Manohar Utwal, Mayor Smt. Meena Jonwal, MLAs Dr. Mohan Yadav, Dilip Singh Shekhawat, Satish Malviya, Anil Phirojia, Mukesh Pandya, Bahadusingh Chouhan, Rajesh Sonkar, UDA Chairman Jagdish Agrawal, Shyam Bansal and Iqbal Singh Gandhi were present in the programme.-Window To News
