Observers should make all possible efforts to make flawless voters list

Bhopal: State Election Commissioner R. Parshuram told election observers and other employees of the districts to make all possible efforts to make flawless voters list. Callousness of any kind will not be tolerated in this regard. Parshuram was addressing election observers and other employees during their training related to voters list and other election processes here today.

Parshuram said that the voters list of urban bodies and panchayats is being revised and published by the State Election Commission just like Election Commission of India since the last two years. He said that this work will be undertaken in the months of April and May this year. He said that various cases related to voters list come to light in different elections. This condition is not right for free and fair elections.

Parshuram said that all officers and employees related to this work should work with interest. There should be no cope for any flaw in the list. Information about voters who are dead or have migrated elsewhere should also be collected. In case a name appears in more than one place, it should be promptly removed from one place.

Secretary State Election Commission Smt. Sunita Tripathi and Deputy Secretary Deepak Saxena gave information about significant points during the training.

Additional Secretary Pradip Shukla, Rajesh Yadav gave information about elections process and IT Advisor Deepak Nema informed about improved use of I.T. in election process. Employees and officials from Bhopal and Indore division took part in the training.-Window To News
