Universal IDs provided to 12,947 disabled persons in Katni district

Bhopal: The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment is generating universal IDs for disabled persons in Katni district. This ID will be valid all over the country in the form of Disability Certificate. Till now 12 thousand 947 universal IDs have been generated in the district. Along with this Medical Board has been arranged in the district for Disability Certificate. Under this arrangement, Central Disability Certificate and Unique Disability ID (UDID) is being prepared and provided to disabled persons through Swavalamban portal.
With the availability of UDID card, the disabled persons will not have to make copies of documents, maintain it or carry it around with them. This card will provide all essential details which can be kept code free with the help of the reader.
In the coming days the UDID card will be the only document for disabled persons to avail various benefits. UDID card will also assist the search of the beneficiary’s physical and economical progress at rural, block, district, state and national level.-Window To News
