Protection of greenery is a must to save the Earth

Bhopal: Forests, Planning, Economics and Statistics Minister Dr. Gaurishankar Shejwar has appealed to the citizens of the state to resolve to plant trees in new areas and to protect trees on the occasion of World Forestry Day on March 21. In his message Dr. Shejwar said that greenery is a must to save life and existence on the Earth. By better management of forest resources we can keep the life of our future generations safe.
Dr. Shejwar said that several decisions of village resource development along with forestry have been taken in the state. Deendayal Vananchal Seva has acquired remarkable success in the upliftment of education and health of villagers, women and children residing in the forest region. More than one lakh children were taken on a jungle ride under Anubhuti programme this year to make them aware towards forest and wildlife conservation.
The Forest Minister said that last year on July 2, more than 7 crore saplings were planted in one day in Narmada river basin. Everyone should make efforts to ensure that the saplings grow up into trees.-Window To News
