Demand for immediate release of Center’s share of Bhavanatar Bhugtan yojana

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Minister for Finance Arun Jaitley at New Delhi today. During the meeting, Chouhan discussed in detail about the Bhavantar Bhugtan yojana, being implemented in the state to provide reasonable rates to the farmers for their agriculture produce.

CM Chouhan informed the Union Finance Minister that the rates of agriculture produce has come down due to the bumper agriculture production in the state. As a result, the farmers are unable to get reasonable price for their produce. He informed that keeping in view the farmers’ interest, Bhavanatar Bhugtan yojana was implemented by the state government for Kharif crops. This scheme has given a relief to the farmers of the state.

Chouhan urged the Union Minister Jaitley that benefit of Bhavantar Bhugtan yojana should be given on Rabi crops too. He also put forward a demand for immediate release of union government’s share (50 percent) of Bhavantar Bhugtan yojana.-Window To News
