Madhya Pradesh tops in Union Governments GEM Portal

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has achieved a top position in the country for using Government-E- Market (GEM) portal. Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Independent Charge) Sanjay-Satyendra Pathak has informed that 6253 purchase orders worth Rs. 405.14 crore have been released through GEM portal till February - 2018 end.
Pathak further informed that the government offices and semi government institutions follows procedure for online purchase and supply order to purchase material required by the government material in order to encourage competition and to ensure transparency. It may be mentioned that MoU has been signed between the MSME department and GEM to encourage government e-market.-Window To News
