Baiga families who possess Forest Land will not be removed: CM Chouhan

Bhopal: The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that ownership of land will be given to Baiga families, which they possess since the last so many years. Nobody will remove Baiga families from the forest land. A special campaign will be conducted to give land pattas to such families. Wells will be constructed free of cost on agriculture land, allotted to the Baiga families under the Forest Rights Act.

Moreover, diesel pumps will also be provided to these families. Pucca houses will be constructed for all the Baiga families within next 2 years. He mentioned that teachers of Baiga language will be appointed to conserve Baiga language. A Baiga cultural center will be established at Dindori to preserve Baiga culture. Chouhan appealed to the people of the Baiga community to give good education their children and to encourage them to progress. He further told them to make their villages clean and to maintain distance from social evils like liquor. The CM Chouhan was addressing the State level Baiga Convention at Lalpur of Shahdol district today.

Moreover, Chouhan mentioned that this convention is an effort to change life of the Baiga tribal. He mentioned that people of Baiga community are very simple, soft hearted and hard working. He said that Madhya Pradesh government has taken a resolve to transform the life of Baiga tribal for good. The government is working with commitment for the all round development of Baiga tribal. Electricity will be supplied to all the Baiga settlements till December end to illuminate their houses. Chouhan said that skills of all the Baiga youth will be refined by imparting them free training at I.T.Is. He further stated that computer knowldeg is need of the hour, youth without computer knowledge are considered as backward.

Keeping this view in mind, two major computer training centers will be opened in Shahdol and Mandala districts for the Baiga community youth. Eklavya Vidyalaya will be opened in all development blocks of Baiga dominated. The government will not allow any type of barriers in education of Baiga youth. He said that free education will be given to all children of all Baiga families from class I to Ph D. He appealed Baiga youth that they should enhance their skills by getting good education. The Chief Minister said that Baiga cultural centre will be set up in Dindori to preserve Baiga culture. Chouhan said that girl of Baiga community who are studying in class XII will be imparted training for ANM and provide job in health sector. Baiga tribe people will undergo health check and free treatment will be provided in case of having serious disease. The Chief Minister said that people of Baiga community should get registered under non-organised labourer welfare scheme. They will get full benefit under different schemes of the government. Chief Minister Chouhan said that woman self-help groups are working well in Shahdol and Anooppur districts. He appealed to women to form self-help groups and bring economic revolution.

 Gifts of Rs 67.65 crore construction works: Chief Minister Chouhan dedicated construction works worth Rs. 18 crore 21 lakh 36 thousand in Baiga Sammelan. Besides, the foundation stones of construction works worth Rs 49 crores 44 lakh 27 thousand were laid. On this occasion, Baiga community people welcomed Chief Minister Chauhan presenting a traditional Baiga dress.

 On the occasion, Chief Minister's wife Smt Sadhna Singh, district in-charge Minister Rajendra Shukla, Tribal Welfare Minister Antar Singh Arya, MP Gyan Singh, Chairman of Baiga Development Authority Ramlal Baiga, President of District Panchayat, Shahdol, Narendar Singh Maravi, chairman of Tribal Commission Narendra Maravi, MLA Smt Pramila Singh, Ramlal Rautel, and other public representatives and people of Baiga community were present.-Window To News
