Akhil Bharatiya Ibrahim Yusuf award to be given the first time: MoS Patwa
Bhopal: The Department of Culture has declared 6 Akhil Bharatiya and 13 regional awards in the year 2017-18 for distinction in Urdu literature, journalism, research, criticism, sarcasm and Urdu drama. The Department has introduced a new Akhil Bharatiya award in the name of well-known artist of the state “Ibrahim Yusuf” from this year. Rs 51 thousand in Akhil Bharatiya/award and Rs 31 thousand in Pradeshik Samman/award will be given.
Giving this information Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Surendra Patwa said that in the Sammans established by the Urdu Academy last year 2016-17, have been started after two women litterateurs Nawab Shahjehan Begum and Surjakala Sahay Sarwar. Patwa told that except Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy, various Urdu academies of the country do not have women litterateur and drama related Samman/award.-Window To News
