No Bhariya to remain without land: CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that no Bhariya family will be deprived of land in state. Bhariya families will be given ownership rights of the land possessed by them since ages. He said that Bhariya families residing on forest land since many years will also not be displaced. Special campaign will be launched provide pattas to such families. CM Chouhan was addressing Bhariya Mahasammelan at Rathed village of Patalkot region in Chhindwada district on Friday night. Minister of State for Scheduled Caste Welfare and Tribal Affairs Lal Singh Arya presided over the Mahasammelan.

CM Chouhan said that wells will be constructed in the fields of those Bhariya families who have been allotted land under Forest Rights Act. Besides motor or diesel pumps will be made available to them as per given situation. He said that pucca houses will be constructed in the coming two years for all Bhariya families of the state. As many as 18 Bhariya language teachers will be appointed to preserve Bhariya language. Bhariya culture centre will also be set up in Chhindwada to promote Bhariya culture, he said.

Addressing the Bhariya Samaj members Chouhan said that they should ensure good education for their children and inspire them to move ahead. He said that this is the age of computers and computer is a medium for employment, therefore a computer training centre will be opened in Chhindwada to train children in computers. Bhariya children will be given training to enhance their skills for various professions in I.T.I.

CM Chouhan said that the Mahasammelan is an effort to change the life of the Bhariya tribe. He said that electricity supply will be ensured in all Bhariya slums by Deepawali. He announced the opening of Eklavya residential school for Bhariya children. He said that free education will be given to children from Bhariya families from Class I to PhD. He told the Bhariya youths to expose their skills.

The Chief Minister said that state government is making an effort to keep the healthy tradition of Bhariya adivasis intact. He said that Bhariya girls studying up to 12th standard will be given N.M.A. training so that they can provide health services. Health check up will be conducted of Bhariya adivasis in Bhariya dominated areas and they will be given free treatment if suffering from a serious disease. Now unorganized sector labourers will be registered and provided various facilities in the state, he said. Small Forest Produce Purchase Centres will be opened for purchase of Achar, Chironji and Mahua. While Mahua will be purchased at Rs 30 per kg, Achar seed will be purchased for Rs 150 per kg. Rs 1,000 will be deposited in the accounts of Bhariya women of Patalkot region every month. He said that Nal Jal Yojana will be arranged in all the slums of Patalkot region.

CM Chouhan dedicated works worth Rs 36 crore 98 lakh 35 thousand after bhumi-poojan presented appointment letters of direct recruitment to the post of police constable to 7 Bhariya youths. Apart from distribution of Ladli Laxmi Yojana certificates, he also distributed Ujjwala gas scheme connections. The Chief Minister presented cash incentive of Rs 25 thousand to a fold dance group that presented a cultural programme.
