Bhopal: Two out of five heritage assets with the Department of Tourism have been allotted to private investors. The department has acquired Rs 8 crore 64 lakh from these assets.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism Surendra Patwa told that Govindgarh Fort in Rewa and Tajmahal Palace of Bhopal have been allotted to private investors after completion of tender process. Rajgarh Palace Datia, Benazir Palace Bhopal and Madhavgarh Fort Satna will be handed over to private investors to be established as heritage hotels in the current fiscal year.

Minister of State Patwa told that a heritage assets’ bank will be made for the development of heritage hotels through private investors in the coming years. The Authorized Committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary has marked 16 such heritage assets to be transferred to the Tourism Department
These assets include Kothi Mahal in Ujjain, Moti Mahal and Government Press Building in Gwalior, Narwar Fort in Shivpuri, Sheopur Fort in Sheopur, Bajrang Fort in Guna, Sabalgarh Fort in Morena, Rahatgarh Fort in Sagar, Mahendra Bhavan in Panna, Baldevgarh Fort in Tikamgarh, Lunera ki Sarai in Dhar, Collector Bhavan in Badwani, Royal Hotel in Jabalpur, Vijayraghavgarh Fort in Katni, Ramnagar Fort in Mandla and Kyoti Fort in Rewa.-Window To News
