Two-day workshop for training institutes from today

Bhopal: The National Workshop on 'Determining the Standard Bench Mark for State-level Training Institutes' will be organized on April 24th and 25th at Hotel Jehanuma Palace. The workshop is being organized by Madhya Pradesh Water and Land Management Institute, 'Walmi', of Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
Registrations will be done from 9.30 am to 10.30 pm on April 24 on the first day of workshop. The opening session will start from 10.30 am and the orientation session will start from 11.45 am. In the Parallel Brainstorming Group session, from 2.30 pm, there will be discussions on inter institutional relations including academic, infrastructure and management and reactive benchmarking standard. On the second day on April 25, there will be presentations of groups from 10 am, discussion from 12 noon and the concluding ceremony at 1pm. Participants will be taken for sightseeing trip from 3 pm.
Chairman of WALMI Iqbal Singh Bains has informed that subject experts of various renowned institutions of the country are taking part in the workshop. High level recommendations related to standard will be obtained for state level training institutes after their deliberations, which could be used constantly.
To develop the institute as a top training institution, it is necessary to determine the standards. In this perspective, the national level workshop is being organized by the institute on the theme 'Determining the ideal standard of state level training institutes'. In the workshop, National Skill Development Council of the country's top teaching and training institutes have been invited as experts and educationists participants of related departments of the Central and State Governments. The workshop mainly consists of educational, infrastructural, management related and organizational related topics of training institutes.
The institute is a top institute at state-level in the water and land management sector that is working under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. At least 59 training programmes of the Departments of Rural Development, Water Resources, Rural Engineering and Watershed were organized in year 2016-17 by the institute in which training was given for 12 thousand days. Similarly, 27 thousand 115 trainee days have been organized in 117 training programmes this year 2017-18. Besides, the institute has also organized inter-state tour programmes.
An innovative concept of tension free training has been included in the training by the institute. Apart from the activities class activities team building, capacity building, mutual bonding, hundred percent utilisation of capacities, etc. are also being developed through entertaining and sports activities to bring maximum activeness in trainees during the training. Several more action plans have been prepared by the institute, which are being implemented by the institute.-Window To News
