Enthusiasm marks first phase of immunization

Bhopal: The first phase of immunization programme began in a festive environment in 43 districts of villages from today under Mission Indradhanush of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan. The immunization campaign began in the presence of Chairperson of District Panchayat Health Committee and in the guidance of state immunization officer Dr. Santosh Shukla in Tarawali village of Berasia block in Bhopal district. Officials of World Health Organization, UNICEF, UNDP and Health Department were also present in the team.

The campaign will be run in 404 marked villages of 43 districts of the state in April, May and in June from 23rd to 27th under Mission Indradhanush. Immunisation of 3300 children in the 0-2 year age group and 1200 pregnant women will be immunized.-Window To News
