Second phase exam of National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship on May 13

Bhopal: As many as 276 students of Madhya Pradesh have been declared eligible for the second phase of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). All these students will now take part in the second phase of the examination to be held on May 13, 2018. NCERT has made the examination admit card on its web portal. The selected candidate can download his admit card on the Internet at http://www.ncert.nic.in/nts.2018 admitcard.pdf.

Class Xth students from all government and non-government schools are eligible to apply for the Examination. Students selected in this national examination which is held in two phases are provided scholarship for their entire school education till PhD. The student gets a scholarship of Rs 1250 per month for school education till Class XII, Rs 2000 per month for college education from graduation to post graduation and scholarship as per University Grants Commission Rules for PhD.
Rajya Shiksha Kendra has directed all district education officers and Centre (Sankul) principals to contact the selected students of their area to assist them in providing their admit cards for the second phase of the Examination (NTSE). Special attention should be taken to ensure that students do not have any difficulty for admit cards.

Training of teachers for NCERT textbooks

NCERT textbooks are being implemented in all government high schools of Madhya Pradesh for Science and Mathematics subjects in Class IX and Class X and in Higher Secondary Schools for Class XI and XII Science faculty (Maths and Biology) and Commerce faculty. Source experts of high school level science and mathematics subjects have been trained in the Regional Institute of Education in session 2018-19 on the hard and new concepts of NCERT textbooks.

The trained source experts will train Science and Maths teachers of the state at the divisional level in May and June.-Window To News
