Vigilance of saplings through CCTV cameras begins

Bhopal: The Forest Department has installed CCTV cameras in the main nurseries of 11 research and extension forest circles of the state. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force Dr. Animesh Shukla inaugurated the system today. The monitoring will be done on the monitor in the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Research, Expansion and Public Forestry Room. On the occasion Managing Director State Forest Development Corporation Ravi Shrivastava, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shahbaz Ahmed, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Ramesh Kumar Gupta and Dr. P.C. Dubey were present.

Shahbaz Ahmed told that the CCTV cameras have been installed in the main nurseries of Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Betul, Ratlam, Jhabua, Sagar, Rewa, Seoni and Khandwa forest circles. The live monitoring of the quality, security and growth of the saplings will ensure better saplings which will be used for plantation along the banks of Narmada river and in the state.-Window To News
