Kabir Darshan relevant even today

Bhopal: President Ramnath Kovind said that Kabir’s Sufi Darshan is relevant even today. There is need to adopt Sant Kabir Darshan for the spread of harmony and brotherhood. He changed the society’s thinking through his tolerance. He showed the path of human welfare to the whole world. President Kovind said that the fate of one who is always on the move will also be mobile. Kovind was addressing the Sadguru Sant Kabir Mahotsav at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Central University, Sagar today.

President Kovind said that it is highly appropriate to celebrate Sant Shiromani Kabir Utsav in Sagar. Sant Kabir’s 300-year-old ashram is in Sagar. This ashram is spreading his message of harmony and sacrifice. The President said that Madhya Pradesh government has entrusted the responsibility of Sant Ravidas Handicraft and Handloom Development Corporation to Narayan Prasad Kabirpanthi.The state government is providing training to weavers and craftsmen and assistance for marketing of their products and for self-employment. This is helping artisans in a huge number to become economically self-reliant.

The President said that Sant Kabir’s speech depicts love. Kabir’s fame can be gauged from the fact that his mention has been made several times in Sant Tukaramji of Maharashtra, Shankardevji of Assam and even in Guru Granth Sahib. President Kovind said that the Vedas has the mention of Charaiwati-Charaiwati. This axiom was justified by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. The President said that there is a sea of love and compassion in Bundelkhand region. This love is clearly seen in the singing of Kabir Bhajan Mandalis.

The President said that it is a matter of pride for all of us that our Governor is the constitutional head of such a glorious, cultural and big heart state. He said that Madhya Pradesh Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel has been following the ideals of Sant Kabir. Mentioning the memorable moments of her life he said that she displayed great courage in refusing to accept the gifts from her family during her marriage. He said that girls are fast becoming confident and self-reliant. Girls are now taking information about the availability of toilets in their husband’s house before marriage.

Governor Smt. Patel said that Sant Kabir’s Bhakti Andolan and his creations deeply influence the society. She said that Kabir is the first saint who is looked upon with great respect by all religions. He believed in one God. He dedicated his entire life for the welfare of the people.

At the outset, Chairman of Sant Ravidas Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation and Coordinator of Sadguru Kabir Mahotsav Narayan Prasad Kabirpanthi gave the outline of the programme. Home Minister Bhupendra Singh, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargav, MP Prahlad Patel, Sant Ramdasji and other saints were on stage during the programme. MP Lakshminarayan Yadav proposed vote of thanks. Mayor Abhay Dare, MLA Shailendra Jain, Pradeep Lariya, Harvansh Singh Rathore besides a huge number of Kabirpanth devotees were also present.-Window To News
