I have special bond with Guna city: President Kovind

Bhopal: President Ramnath Kovind has said that this is first time that any President has come to Guna. Credit for his Guna visit goes to his elder brother Ramswaroop Bharti. The President Kovind was addressing the felicitation function organized by the family of his elder brother Ramswaroop Bharti. Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel, the First Lady of the country and wife of the President Smt. Savita Kovind and Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawayya were present in the function.

President Kovind mentioned that it is not possible to visit all the district headquarters after becoming President. He has been visiting Guna since last so many years before he became President as he has old bond with Guna. The President said that Guna is fortunate that the Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court R.C. Lahoti is also belongs to the city. History of Guna will always remember that a person of Guna soil has reached the position of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the country.

Former Chief Justice R.C. Lahoti stated that this is a pure family programme. Love and affection of both the brothers has been witnessed in the programme. It is due to the blessing of the elder brother that the younger brother is holding the top position of the President of the country. Lahoti further said that how big is the person, but he/she never breaks relations with the past. The President Kovind is the same person, who has not forgotten his family members and relatives after reaching the top position.

In the beginning, Ramswaroop Bharti shed light on the life of the President. Tarun Bunkar recited and presented the felicitation letter prepared by Raghunandan Damne to the President. Ramswaroop Bharti and Smt. Shakuntala Ketwar honoured the President Kovind and the Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel by presenting them shawls.
