Backward Classes Mahakumbh and Ramji Mahajan awards ceremony in Sagar today

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the Backward Classes Mahakumbh and Ramji Mahajan Backward Class Service State Award-2015 distribution ceremony in Sagar on May 6. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Smt. Lalita Yadav will preside over. Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya, Home Minister Bhupendra Singh, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargav, Public Health Engineering Minister Smt. Kusum Mehdele and Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta will take part in the programme.

Commissioner Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Ramesh Thete told that Smt. Kanti Patel, Smt. Asha Sahu, Smt. Maya Vishwakarma, Suraj Singh Maran, Dr. J.K. Yadav, Smt. Alka Saini, Narayan Singh Dagor, Smt. Babita Parmar, Smt. Yamuna Kachhawa, Smt. Preeti Sen, Smt. Kusum Mehdele (Jabalpur), Rajesh Dodke, Dr. Bhagwan Bhai Patidar, Kashiram Yadav and Mahendra Katiyar will be presented with the Backward Classes Service State Award-2015 during the programme. An exhibition will also be organized on the occasion. Four trainees have been selected as Deputy Collectors from state level Employment and Training Centre, 16 patwaris through 19 PSC and 8 others have been selected on government posts in year 2017-18. These selected candidates will also be honoured during the ceremony.

An expenditure of Rs.110 crore 98 lakhs has been made to help the youth in establishing their own employment under Chief Minister’s Backward Class Self-employment Scheme in year 2017-18. Information about various schemes of the department will also be given at the Kumbh. More than one lakh people from Sagar division are expected to participate in the Mahakumbh. Beneficiaries of various schemes besides trainees of training institutes run by the department will also be present.-Window To News
