Rs 1000 crore stabilization fund for providing assistance to farmers

Bhopal: The Department of Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development has formed the 'Madhya Pradesh Value Stabilization Fund' with an amount of Rs.1000 crore in order to provide assistance to the farmers of the state. Through this fund farmers are being provided financial assistance due to decline in the market value of agricultural production.
The Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Cost and Marketing Commission has been constituted for giving recommendations related to problems in agriculture sector and Minimum Support Price in the state. This Commission will give its report before the year’s three crop season.
Agriculture experts, agriculture economists and progressive farmers have been made members of the Commission. This Commission will give its recommendations to the state government regarding Mandi Act, Contract Farming and Horticulture crops.-Window To News
