Distribution of benefits to registered labourers from June 13: CM Chouhan

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said at Ganj Basoda that all possible efforts are being made by the government to provide rights to lead a respectable life in the society to unorganized labourers. Every poor, every labourer will be given pattas under Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan Yojana.

By 2023, the government will provide permanent houses to every poor person living in Madhya Pradesh. He said that our government is moving forward to fulfill the resolve to overcome poverty as soon as possible. Distribution of benefits to unorganized labourers will begin from June 13. For this, beneficiary distribution programmes will be organized in every development block in the presence of public representatives.

Chief Minister Chouhan distributed registration cards to the labourers, pattas for residence and bonus amount to the tendu patta collectors, slippers to women under the Charan Paduka scheme, shoes to men, water bottles and benefits of other beneficiaries of various government schemes.

Giving information about the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan Yojana, Chouhan said that every person of the state who is not an income tax payer, owns less than 2.5 acres of land and is not in government service, will be covered under this scheme.

He said that every labourer of the state will be given land for housing and permanent houses. He said that women labourers will be given benefit of financial assistance for calorie diet before and after pregnancy. He said that the government will bear the fees of education of poor children from Class I to college and for admission in higher education institutes. Children of labourers will get the benefits of Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana.

CM Chouhan said that government will provide free treatment of the poor and labourers. The poor will be provided assistance under Ayushman Bharat Yojana, State Illness Assistance Cell and Mukhya Mantri Swechhanudan. He said the poor will be provided electricity at a flat rate of Rs 200 per month. Self-help groups will be linked to other professions. They will be given bank linkage by the government besides skill development work. Referring to the various schemes being run for the poor by the government the Chief Minister said that on the death of a person under the age of 60 years, financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakhs will be given, financial help of Rs. 4 lakhs on death due to accident and Rs. 5 thousand will be given for performing last rites.

Union Minister Gehlot said that ancillary equipments have been distributed to 10 lakh disabled persons in the country on which about Rs 600 crores have been spent. In Basoda, hearing aids, tricycles, dentures and other equipments have been distributed to 4600 persons. Gehlot said that Madhya Pradesh government is extending full support in the implementation of schemes being run by the centre for the welfare of disabled persons.

After this, Chouhan dedicated a polytechnic building constructed in Lateri at a cost of Rs 34 crore 13 lakhs. Besides this, he also laid the foundation and performed bhoomi-pujan of eight roads to be constructed at a cost of Rs 92.42 crores by the Rural Development Department. CM Chouhan also e-transferred Rs 2 crore 62 lakhs as bonus of year 2016 in the accounts of 23,106 tendu patta collectors on this occasion. He distributed life assisting equipments to 4600 disabled persons in Vidisha district.

Minister in-charge of Vidisha district and State Home Minister Bhupendra Singh, Minister of State for Food Processing Shri Surya Prakash Meena, MLA Veer Singh Panwar, MLA Kalyan Singh, President of Laghu Vanopaj Sangh Mahesh Kori, President of Unorganized Workers Welfare Board Sultan Singh Shekhawat, a large number of workers from unorganized sectors and beneficiaries of tendu patta bonus were present during the programme.-Window To News
