Centre to give Rs 60 thousand crore for irrigation projects in MP

Bhopal: Union Minister of Water Resources, Road Transport and Highways, River Development Nitin Gadkari said that Centre will approve Rs 60 thousand crores in the coming two years for irrigation projects in Madhya Pradesh. The state has already been provided Rs 25 thousand crores. He said that now water will be drawn from pipelines instead of canals and supplied to the fields of farmers through drip system. This will increase agriculture production three times. Gadkari was addressing the Tendu patta collectors and Unorganized Labourers Conference at Betul today. CM Chouhan presided over the conference.

Gadkari termed the efforts being made by Chief Minister Chouhan to make the lives of tendu patta collectors easy as his sensitiveness. He said that the centre and the state government are always with the farmers and the labourers in difficult times. Giving information about the various schemes of the centre Gadkari said that cement-concrete road has been approved in Paraswada, Ratouda, Betul and Multai in Betul district.

Power plant to come up in Sarni : CM Chouhan

Gadkari announced at the conference that a power plant will come up at Sarni which will give pace to the all round development of the district. Chouhan said that the state government is ever ready to assist every poor person till the end. Giving information about the various schemes he said that all homeless persons will be provided houses by year 2022. Registered unorganised labourers will be benefitted through all schemes of the government. Praising the achievements of women self-help groups Chouhan said that state government will pay 3 percent of the loan taken by the groups. The Chief Minister instructed the legislators to monitor the schemes being run for the poor. He told that incentive of Rs 265 will be distributed to wheat producing farmers on June 10. Besides, this, benefits of various schemes will be distributed to registered labourers at 313 block headquarters. The Chief Minister administered the pledge to the masses on the occasion to clean and beautify the villages and educate girls.

Bonus amount of Rs 6 crore 49 lakh distributed to Tendu patta collectors

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan distributed an amount of Rs. 6 crores 49 lakh as bonus to Tendu patta collectors through e-payment at the Tendu Patta collectors and Unorganized Labourers Conference. Charan padukas and water bottles were distributed to 62 thousand 148 Tendu patta collectors and the women collectors were given sarees along with relief material.

CM Chouhan distributed a token bonus amount of Rs 2 lakh 57 thousand to tendu patta collector Durga Bai, Rs 9 thousand to Shanti Bai and Rs 7 thousand 596 to Jugal. Besides he also gave forest rights letter to Jaisingh Rana, Pradhan Mantri Awas amount cheque to Smt. Sindhu Namdev and loan approval letter to Rural Livelihood Mission’s Smt. Ranjita. He himself made the women tendu patta collectors wear charan padukas.

Foundation laid and bhoomi-pujan of works worth Rs 188.50 crore performed

Chief Minister Chouhan laid the foundation and performed bhoomi-pujan of the construction works worth Rs 188.50 crore in Betul district during the programme. This includes public dedication of 3 construction works worth Rs 20 crore 5o lakhs and bhoomi-pujan of two works worth Rs 168 crore. Union Minister Gadkari and Chief Minister Mr. Chauhan honoured the elderly on this occasion and performed kanya poojan.

Jyoti Dhurve, District Panchayat President Surajlal Jawalkar, MLA Sarvashri Hemant Khandelwal, Chetram Manekar, Mahendra Singh Chouhan, Mangal Singh Dhurve, Chandrashekhar Deshmukh and Sanjay Shah, Chairman of Madhya Pradesh State Skill Development and Employment Generation Board, Hemant Deshmukh and other public representatives.-Window To News
