Bring produce in mandi on date being informed through S.M.S

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has appealed farmers to bring produce in mandi on date being informed through SMS. This will avoid inconvenience to other farmers. A concrete arrangement has been made to inform the date of procurement to the farmers through SMS.

Chouhan assured the farmers that every single grain of gram, red lentil and mustard will be purchased on support price from the farmers. He instructed the officers that farmers should not face any difficulty, while selling their produces. Make proper arrangement for instant payment. Chouhan was reviewing the procurement works at CM House today. Chief Secretary B.P. Singh was also present in the review meeting.

CM Chouhan was apprised during the review meeting that over 8 lakh 80 thousand farmers have sold 67 lakh 78 thousand metric tonne wheat on support price till now. Ninety one percent of the total procurement amount has been paid into the bank accounts of the farmers. Moreover, it was informed that procurement of gram, red lentil and mustard has been started at 593 centers. Total 9 lakh 46 thousand 861 matric tonne gram, red lentil and mustard has been purchased from 4 lakh 19 thousand 393 farmers. Chouhan praised the wheat procurement arrangements and congratulated officers.
