Tribal people to be made more empowered in State

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that continuous efforts are being made to further enhance education for upliftment of tribal community. The state government is bearing the cost of education of children. Community people should pay attention on education of their children so that they can be able to increase prestige of tribal community by reaching on higher posts. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a programme organised on 'Sahriya Vikas: Vimarsh Ki Disha' attended by people of Gwalior and Chambal divisions in Saisaipura of Sheopur district today. Union minister for rural development Narendra Singh Tomar, Sheopur MLA Durgalal Vijay, Pohari MLA Prahlad Bharti were present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that continuous efforts are being made for upliftment of tribals Central and State Government. He said that continuous steps are being taken towards the all-round development of Sahriya localities. Keeping in view the interests of the tribal community, many welfare and public interest programmes are being run in the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that in order to empower Sahariya community, various facilities are being provided through Saharia Development Authority. He said that Rs one thousand were being provided to women of tribal community. Along with this, tribals are being given subsidy under different schemes of the state government.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that hostels, Ashrams are being run for tribal community to give them education opportunities. He said that training facility is also being provided for skill upgradation to tribal people. Chief Minister Chouhan got suggestions from Sahriya community people from Gwalior-Chambal divisions.

Around 350 Sahriya community people including Sitaram Adivasi, Smt Guddibai, Jaggobai, Prahlad Adivasi, Uttam Adivasi, Nand Kishore, Mahesh Adivasi, Sanjay and Jagran gave important suggestions on upliftment of tribals.-Window To News
