Children of jail personnel to get compassionate appointment as child sentinel

Bhopal: Jail Minister Antar Singh Arya gave instructions to send the proposal of fixing the age for compassionate appointment of children of jail officials and employees who died while on duty to the government. Arya said that in several cases it is difficult to provide compassionate appointment as the children of the deceased is below 18 years. For this reason, the family of the deceased employee faces financial difficulties. Additional Chief Secretary Jail Vinod Samwal and Director General Jails Sanjay Choudhury were also present on the occasion.

Arya issued instructions to send proposal for construction of quarters for the jail employees while reviewing the progress of the construction works undertaken in the jails of Badnagar, Jabalpur, Bhind and Shivpuri. It was told that the Badnagar jail will start operating next month. There is an open jail also in this jail. Shivpuri jail will be operational from August 15. Handloom shed is being built in the women’s barrack in Badwani jail. Arya directed to increase the pace of construction of Bhind jail.

Arya directed to start the open jail in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Indore and Sagar also. Prisoners who create a record for regular good conduct will be allowed to stay with their families in the barracks built outside the main jail in jail premises. It was told at the meeting that the Jail Department has fulfilled all announcements made by the Chief Minister.-Window To News
