the District Education Officers for proper distribution of free text books to the students pursuing studies in class 9, 10, 11 and 12 for the academic session 2018-19. It has been said in the directives that a committee should be constituted under the chairmanship of District Collector at district level for distribution of text books. Books should be distributed within the time limit.

Books have been printed as per the demand of the districts for the academic session 2018-19. Text books are being sent from the depot to block level by the Text Book Corporation. The books will be distributed in the presence of Minister in-charge, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly and Local Public Representatives.

Super 100 Scheme at Bhopal and Indore

The School Education department has started a Super 100 scheme at Bhopal and Indore city to facilitate meritorious students of government schools to pursue higher education in prestigious educational institutes of the country. This scheme is being implemented in Government Subhash Excellence School of Bhopal and Malharashram School of Indore. Free boarding facility is also being provided to these students.

Under the scheme, 2 boy students and 2 girl students each for biology and commerce faculty are given admission from the district on the basis of highest marks in the merit list of class 10 examination of the concerned district. During the year 2016-17, 5 students in engineering college, one student in medical college and 28 students for CA course, a total of 34 students took admissions in professional courses by passing various competitive examinations.-Window To News
