Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made announcement in connection to the approval of Khalwa Lift Irrigation scheme costing Rs. 1700 crore during the convention of Unorganised Labourers and Tendu Leaf Collectors held at Khedigram of Khandwa district today. He said that this scheme will change the fate of the farmers of this area and Khalwa block will be known for advance farming. Chouhan further informed that Narmada water with the help of the pipeline will be supplied to the agriculture fields of 147 villages through Khalwa Irrigation scheme. This scheme will facilitate irrigation facility on about 90 thousand hectare area.
Moreover, Chouhan inaugurated Tuar Dal distribution scheme at the rate of Rs. 10 per k.g. in Sheopur and Khalwa block during the convention. He also distributed packet of pulse among the beneficiaries of the scheme. Chouhan also dedicated and laid foundation of development and construction works costing Rs. 200 crore at Khandwa and Burhanpur district.
Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana in blocks on June 13
CM Chouhan has informed in the convention that a special programme will be organized to implement Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana in all the blocks of the state on June 13. Benefits under the various schemes will be distributed among the registered beneficiaries from April 1 to May 31 in the programme. Elaborating on the scheme, Chouhan urged the public representatives to attend the programme and cooperate to get the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries avail benefits of the schemes.
Moreover, Chouhan distributed registration certificates to the labourers of the unorganized sector. Besides presenting bonus, he also presented Charan Padukas (Foot wears) and water bottles to Tendu leaf collectors on this occasion. He also distributed benefits of other schemes to the eligible beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes.
Minister for School Education Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister for Woman and Child Development Smt. Archana Chitnis, Member of Parliament Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, Smt. Jyoti Dhurve, Members of Legislative Assembly- Khandwa and Burhanpur, other Public representatives, Prominent Citizens and Villagers in large number were present in the convention.-Window To News
