New Scheme to be Started for Women Beneficiaries

Bhopal: Minister for Animal Husbandry Antar Singh Arya said that a new scheme will be implemented soon for women beneficiaries. Under the scheme One goat and One dozen Kadaknath birds will be provided for 6 months for raising. The scheme will be started from Badwani district. Minister Arya was reviewing the department at state level on Monday.
Arya said that all the beneficiaries of below poverty line (BPL) families will be included in the scheme. He mentioned that every possible effort should be made to deliver information about policies and schemes of the department at lower level and for its better implementation. Directives were issued to hold Gokul Mahotsav twice a year in the meeting. First phase have already been completed and second phase should be started from the second day of Holi. Beside these officers visiting house to house in all the villages should inspire people to attend Gokul Mahotsav. He also laid emphasis for improvement in cow breed beside use of cow urine to make medicines and pesticides.
Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry Ashwini Rai gave directives to make milk routes in such areas where societies and milk traders are not purchasing milk from cattle keepers at present. Arya mentioned that this will increase the income of the cattle keepers and availability of milk in the state.
Joint Director Gwalior Suspended
Minister for Animal Husbandry Antar Singh Arya gave directives for immediate suspension of the Joint Director S.C. Raikwar of Gwalior on account of dereliction towards duty.
