MP to set up new ideal for welfare of poor through Sambal Yojana

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana is the highest priority of the state government. Through this scheme Madhya Pradesh will set a new ideal for the welfare of the poor. There will be no dearth of any kind in its implementation. Task Force will be constituted at state and district level for effective monitoring of this scheme. Chouhan was addressing district collectors through video conferencing today. Senior officers including Chief Secretary B.P. Singh was present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the scheme for the welfare of the poor has been started integratedly through the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal)Yojana. Its implementation will bring a positive change in the lives of the poor. Task Force will be constituted at the state level under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development for effective monitoring of the scheme in which senior officers of all concerned departments will be members. A Task Force will be constituted under the chairmanship of the Minister in charge at the district level, in which the all MPs, MLAs, chairpersons of urban bodies, District and Janpad Presidents and the officers of respective departments will be members.

At the state level, Chief Minister and Chief Secretary will also monitor the scheme. There will be a five-member monitoring committee at the Panchayat and ward level who will help eligible beneficiaries to get benefits of the scheme. He told that the members of the monitoring committee will be given training. CM Chouhan directed to form monitoring committees in all the districts by June 30. Chouhan made clear that there is no last date for registration of labourers eligible for the scheme. The registration work will continue.

Campaign to make smart cards for labourers

Chief Minister Chouhan said that swarozgar melas will be organized in all the districts on August 4 in which youth will be provided benefits under various self employment schemes. These fairs should be organized systematically. The work of distributing residential lease in all the districts is to be completed by July 31. The work of distributing smart cards to the workers registered in the Mukhya Mantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana in all the districts should be completed from July 1 till August 15. He told that the labourers will be provided with various facilities in Sambal Yojana on the basis of smart cards. Chouhan said that the rule for assistance for performing last rites has been changed under the scheme. This assistance will now be given on the death of any member of the family of the registered labourer. Registration will be done of each eligible labourer. A medical assistance scheme will be implemented for every registered family. He instructed that the cases of Vanadhikar Patra disputes should be settled through a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner.

One crore 82 lakh labourers registered in Sambal Yojana

During the video conference it was informed that so far one crore 82 lakh labourers have been registered under the Sambal Yojana. The process of formation of monitoring committees is in progress in most of the districts. Members of the monitoring committees will be trained at the development block level from July 1 to July 20. No amount will be taken for entry in schools and colleges from children of unorganized labourers on showing smart card. A software is being developed for the effective monitoring of the scheme in which the progress in each district can be seen every day. So far 2 lakh 33 thousand Vanadhikar Patras have been distributed in the state.-Window To News
