Governor performs bhoomi-pujan of residential project in Raj Bhavan premises

Bhopal: While laying the foundation and performing bhoomi-pujan of the residential project in Raj Bhavan Premises Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel today said that the counstruction works should be completed within the prescribed time limit and special emphasis should be laid on its quality. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was also present on the occasion.

Governor Smt. Patel appreciated Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's sensitivity towards the general public and said that the government officials and employees play a very important role in accelerating government work, getting maximum benefits of government schemes to the common people and in getting problems of people redressed promptly. He said that the new residential buildings are being constructed with the intention of giving a good family atmosphere to employees and officials of Raj Bhavan.

CM Chouhan said that Governor Smt. Patel has won the faith of the people of the state and has generated new energy in the people. This has given new hope to the people. He said that the state government is always willing to work for the welfare of government employees and officials. Today the yoga of India is a topic of discussion in the whole world. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rendered Yoga the highest position in the world. By getting the walls of Raj Bhavan painted with Yoga and Surya Namaskar, the Governor has done the work of taking Yoga to the masses.

It is noteworthy that the Governor had inspected the residential colony of Raj Bhavan employees in the month of February and after seeing the dilapidated condition of the houses, had instructed senior officials of Public Works Department in a meeting to get new houses constructed for them. As per the directions of the Governor, PIU has presented a residential project of Rs 1321.49 lakh for residential units in Raj Bhavan Complex. Taking special interest, Governor Smt. Patel has approved this project.

Secretary Raj Bhavan Bharat Maheshwari welcomed the guests while Project Director Vijay Singh Verma gave information of the project. MP Alok Sanjar and Mayor Alok Sharma were also present on the occasion.-Window To News
