Demand to inlcude G.S.T. reimbursement amount and soybean in Price suport Scheme
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Minister for Finance Piyush Goyal at New Delhi today. During the half an hour long meeting, Chouhan put forth a demand for additional financial assistance for the state. He urged that the state needs additional financial assistance from the centre to protect farmers from heavy loss owing to the bumper agriculture production in the state. It may be mentioned that bumper production of gram, summer moong, urad and soybean in the state has caused this problem.
CM Chouhan has informed Goyal that G.S.T. amount of Rs. 1096 crore for the month of April and May has not been reimbursed by the centre till now. He requested that G.S.T. amount should be released immediately. Along with this, he expressed concern over financial assistance for NAFED and the pending payment with NAFED. He said that he has information that loan of Rs. 5 thousand crore has been approved by the Punjab National Bank for NAFED. He demanded that this amount should be released to the state immediately. Moreover, Chouhan also demanded to include soybean in the Price Support Scheme.
Chouhan invited Goyal for Vikas Parva to be held in the state from June 23 to July 06, which was accepted heartily by the Union Minister.-Window To News
