M.P. Water Sports Academy’s 4 Players selected for Junior Asian Championship

Bhopal: Four male players of the Madhya Pradesh Water Sports Academy namely Mangal Singh, Nitish Bhardwaj, Rohit Sedhant and Vijaypal Singh will represent India in Junior Asian Rowing event to be held at Chungju, Korea from June 25. Expressing pleasure over selection of these sportspersons, the Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that all these players (Rovers) are medal prospects for our team.
Moreover, Smt. Scindia mentioned that Madhya Pradesh has registered its strong presence in Indian Water Sports. Eight sailors have been selected for Asian Championship recently. She stated that we maintain strong representation in both the sailing and rowing sports. She further informed that Madhya Pradesh has bagged maximum medals at national level in Kayaking and Canoeing.-Window To News
