CM Chouhan nominated as Chairman of National Agriculture and MNREGA Committee

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been nominated as Chairman of National Agriculture and MNREGA committee. This decision has been taken in the 4th meeting of the council of NITI Ayog held under the Chairmanship of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi. Chief Ministers of Bihar, Sikkim, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh state have been made members of the committee.

The Prime Minister Modi has appealed to the Chief Ministers of the states included in the committee that they should determine coordinated policy view point and recommendations for both the phases like pre sowing and harvesting of crop and in connection to agriculture and MNREGA.

It may be mentioned that the Prime Minister Modi had earlier nominated the Chief Minister Chouhan as Chairman of the committee formed for schemes sponsored by the centre. Report and recommendations of the committee were presented by Chouhan within the stipulated time frame. In addition to this, the CM Chouhan was entrusted with the responsibility to suggest measures to double the agriculture income by 2022 and the entire action plan was handed over by Chouhan to the Prime Minister.-Window To News
