Baseline test for skill assessment of school students from June 25

Bhopal: A baseline test to assess the skills of students of Class III to Class VIII of government schools of the state will begin from June 25. This test will be held for skill assessment of 54 lakh students of more than 1 lakh 11 thousand government primary and middle schools. A work plan will be prepared for the educational reforms after the baseline test. The baseline test will continue till June 30.

The phone-in programme based on Baseline Test is being broadcast on AIR on June 23 from 11 am to 12 noon. In this programme, teachers, parents, field assistants, shala mitras and general public can ask questions. The queries can be made on phone numbers 0755-2660902 and 2660903.

During the Baseline Test, the skills of the students in reading and understanding Hindi language, subtraction, addition, division and multiplication in Mathematics will be assessed. Separate questionnaire will be prepared for each student in the Baseline Test. To make the test easier, the Rajya Shiksha Kendra will use modern technique this year. Information of allotted schools will be sent to Shala Mitras through Google sheet which is being sent to teachers on registered mobiles.
