Assessment of basic efficiency of 54 lakh students of State from today

Bhopal: Baseline Test is being organised from June 25 to assess present efficiency of 54 lakh students of government schools by Rajya Shiksha Kendra. Students from class III to VIII of around 1.11 lakh government primary and middle schools will undergo the test.

 To ensure quality of education, skill upgradation programmes are being organised by school education department. In the assessment, students' efficiency in Mathematics and Hindi will be assessed. The test to be undertaken between June 25 and 30, 2018 will be held at school level. The Baseline test will be held again for students who will be absent during the period, after June 30. After proper assessment of efficiency of all nominated students, groups will be formed according to learning level by preparing redressing action plan for educational reform. All officers of school education department, district administration, school management committee and parents will actively participate in the test for its smooth operation and monitoring. One programme will be broadcast from Doordarshan on June 25 between evening 6 to 6.30 pm for this assessment test to be held in a fixed duration in the state.

This baseline test will be carried out by class teachers and subject teachers. In which, students' efficiency on the points of Hindi reading, comprehension and writing, identifying digit and numbers in mathematics, subtraction, multiplication, division, measurement, geomatry shapes will be assessed. For accurate assessment of students' present efficiency, class/subject teacher will conduct the test of each one student individually. Questions to be written will be answered in students' notebook or availing paper. Pages of each one student will be kept secured in the form of portfolio after the assessment.

 Modern technology is being used for showing how to use questionnaire and smooth operation of baseline test. Detail related with allotted schools to Shala Mitra for the baseline test, is being sent through Google sheet on email. Video link about how to use questionnaire will be sent to all teachers on their registered mobile number. The QR code has been printed on the letter issued for the baseline test, and scanning this code will open you tube link for video on android mobile and videos related with use of tools (questionnaire).

The Baseline Test will be monitored by principals of district education and training institutes and academic members, with district level officers from the state level.-Window To News
