Bhopal : CM Chouhan Will Hold Direct Dialogues with School and College Students
‘Vidhyarthi Panchayat’ is being organised by the Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan to hold direct dialogues with students. The panchayat will be held at CM House at 11.00 a.m. on January 12. New schemes will be prepared for various education departments on the basis of suggestions received from the students. The Vidhyarthi Panchayat is being conducted by the Higher Education and School Education departments. Fifty students from each district will take part in the panchayat. Ministers for School Education, Higher Education and Technical Education and Senior Officers of concerned departments will present in the panchayat.
Announcements Made in Panchayat 5 Years Ago Implemented
The last Vidhyarthi Panchayat was organised five years ago on January 12, 2012. As per the decisions taken in the last panchayat, increase was made in the scholarship amount and income limit was also increased for eligibility. Moreover, new buildings for 59 colleges have been constructed and 484 new units of N.S.S. have been begun.
A plentiful development in Higher Education has been carried out during the last 10 years in Madhya Pradesh. New 146 government colleges, 10 government universities and 23 private universities have been established in the state. The gross registration ratio of the state has grown to 19.6 from 18.5.
