Aadhaar enrolment to be undertaken by Tribal Welfare Department now

Bhopal: At the initiative of the Tribal Affairs Department, Aadhaar enrolment centres are being set up in various organizations and offices of the department to undertake the aadhaar enrolment work and to update the information of about 2 crore persons belonging to tribal and scheduled caste category of the state.
It has become necessary owing to the necessity of DBT under various schemes of the Government of India and State Government that all the beneficiaries must possess aadhaar number and their bank accounts should be linked with aadhaar. It may be mentioned that people were facing problem related to aadhaar work as the number of aadhaar centres in the state has decreased due to the discontinuation of work carried out through private institutions and kiosks to update information in aadhaar enrolment and aadhaar by the UIDAI. A project costing Rs. 10 crore had been sent by the department to the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs to establish 1010 aadhaar enrolment centres in their subordinate offices and organizations, which has been approved by the Government of India under the sSection 275 (1) of the constitution.
The centres are being set up at the earliest in all the cluster (Sankul) schools, block offices, and district offices of the department in 20 tribal districts of the state. The aadhaar enrolment centres will be established in the office of District Officer of the Tribal/Scheduled Caste Department and Divisional Offices in other districts. An action to purchase aadhaar kit through Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation has been initiated. Moreover, total 1010 workers have already been identified by the department, who will be imparted training through RCBC centres of the district to operate aadhaar kit.
Owing to the establishment of aadhaar enrolment centers in the department, amount under the DBT of various beneficiary oriented schemes will be received by the tribal and scheduled caste category conveniently.-Window To News
