CM Chouhan holds ‘Vidhyarthi Panchayat’ at CM House

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made an announcement at ‘Vidhyarthi Panchayat’ held at CM House on Thursday that full fee of students getting admissions in the National level Academic Institutions after securing 85 percent marks in class 12th examination will be borne by the state government. Moreover, educational loan on zero percent interest rate will be provided to the students who will be selected for National level academic institutions securing less than 85 percent marks in class 12th examination. This panchayat has been organized by the state government in a series of panchayats held to hold dialogues with various sections of the society. Chouhan recalled virtue of Swami Vivekananda on the occasion.
CM Chouhan said that the semester system will be discontinued in the graduate level courses from the next academic session. Uniform will be made compulsory in all the colleges at graduate level from the next academic session. Moreover, a placement portal will be developed to facilitate mutual dialogues between industries and the students. In order to bring qualitative improvement in education, board examination will be conducted for class 5th and 8th from next academic session.
Chouhan mentioned that the Chief Minister, Ministers, Retired Officers, Officers and College Students will visit school to teach students once a year. This is being implemented from January 28. He said that lap tops in place of amount will be provided this time to the students securing more than 85 percent marks in board exam. A scheme will be prepared to give weightage to the students of N.C.C. and N.S.S. Record of all the colleges will be made online.
Students of Rajeev Gandhi Proudhyogiki Vishwavidhalaya can attempt question papers in Hindi. Coaching of State Public Service Commission Examinations will be provided to all the talented students of all the categories. Placement centers will be opened in the identified colleges. Amount towards buildings of 50 colleges will be allotted in the current year. Bachelor of Vocational Education will be started in all the universities. Furthermore one Excellence College in each division and one Model College in every district will be made. Facilities related to the students will be brought under the purview of Public Service Guarantee Act. Syllabus of government schools will be made at par with N.C.E.R.T. curriculum. A world standard Skill Development Institute will be established in the state.
Moreover, Chouhan stated that focus on industry, education and employment has been laid in the state. The country is moving ahead rapidly in the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh will not left behind in this. The biggest campaign of the world ‘Namami Devi Narmade’–Seva Yatra is being undertaken in the state. A de-addiction campaign is being carried out under this on both the banks of River Narmada. Students should participate in this campaign. He told the students to undertake de-addiction campaign in their college campuses. Also plant one sapling in a year. Keep your city and village clean. Also be prepared to become entrepreneur. The state government has implemented Mukhyamantri Yuva Udhmi Yojna and Mukhyamantri Yuva Swa-Rozgar Yojna. Help will be rendered to 7 lakh 50 thousand youths to establish self-employment in the current year.
Chief Minister Chouhan provided the symbolic facilities of various schemes of School Education and Higher Education Departments being undertaken in the state to the beneficiary students. Chouhan inaugurated the placement portal and released coffee table book on skill development. Moreover, he inaugurated scholarship distribution ‘Mission One Click’ scheme meant for class 1 to 12th students. Under this 65 lakh students received the scholarships in their bank accounts at one click.
Students on being urged by the Chief Minister Chouhan gave important suggestions regarding qualitative improvement in school and college education like placement facilities at colleges, to make uniform compulsory in colleges, special relief in government jobs to N.C.C., N.S.S. and Students displaying excellence in sports, to add lessons towards dignity of women and girls in school and colleges curriculum, to increase academic staff in colleges, to establish excellence colleges in districts, to reduce VAT on sports goods, to undertake board examination for class 5th and 8th , to establish headquarter of N.S.S. in state, coaching arrangements for All India Examinations at college level, to impose complete ban on intoxication and suggestions for preparing new youth policy in the state.
CM administered pledge to the students for rebuilding of state and to make harmonious Society for not to mislead from Virtuous path, respect dignity of women and girls, study a lot, keep away from addiction, conduct campaign at college campuses against intoxication, plant one sapling at least and protect it, participate in Swachhata Mission.
Principal Secretary Higher Education Ashish Upadhyaya presented book published on the philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya to the guests. Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawaiyya, Minister for School Education Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister of State for Technical Education Deepak Joshi, Chairman M.P.
