Tenure of Mandi Samitis extended by 6 months

Bhopal: The extended period of Mandi committees which was supposed to end on July 7, has been extended further for the next 6 months or till the new election of Mandi Committees, whichever is earlier by the state government.
In view of the sale and purchase of urad, summer moong, onion and garlic under Krishak Samriddhi Yojana and procurement of mustard, gram and lentils under drought condition, monsoon and price support scheme in Rabi 2017-18 in the state, decision has been taken to extend the tenure of the mandi samitis as it is not possible to hold Mandi elections in the scheduled time.-Window To News
