PR Minister Dr. Mishra lays foundation of Harsi By-Pass Irrigation Canal

Shall facilitate irrigation on over 45 thousand hectare area
Bhopal: Minister for Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Narottam Mishra laid foundation of Harsi High Level Bye-Pass Irrigation Canal at Gwalior district today. The project costing about Rs. 80 crore will provide better irrigation facility to farmers. A 7.35 K.M. long canal has to be constructed under the project, which will facilitate irrigation on total 42 thousand 245 hectare area. Several Public Representatives were present during the foundation laying programme.
Minister Dr. Mishra said that an amount of Rs. 10 crore will be spent to undertake upgradation work of canal of Doba. Moreover works costing Rs. 7 crore will be carried out to construct 62 K.M. long road from Harsi to Pichhore. He informed that farmers of 238 villages of Dabra, Bhitarwar, Murar, Gohad and Ron will be benefitted after the construction of Harsi High Level Feeder Canal. Farmers will get sufficient water from the works of the Water Resources Department and irrigation will not get disrupted in case of low rains.-Window To News
