Bhopal: Study Centers of other countries will also set up in the campus of the Sanchi Boddh-Bhartiya Gyan Addhyan Vishwavidyalaya. Initially proposals have been given by Sri Lanka and Vietnam to establish their centers. This information was given in the 3rd General Council meeting of the University held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at CM House today.
During the deliberations, Chouhan gave instructions to start construction of necessary infrastructure for academic functioning of the University without any delay. He said that keeping in view the motto of the university, it will be given an international form. Chouhan further mentioned that this university will become a major Academic Centre for unified study of Indian culture, knowledge and Boddh philosophy. He gave instructions to constitute a high level committee to review and assess academic progress besides other activities of the university.
It was informed in the meeting that policy related to establishment of study centers of other countries has already been prepared. Diploma course of Chinese language has been started from 2017-18. It was decided in the meeting that International Convention on Shakya Tantra subject will be organized in the second week of December.
Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Surendra Patwa, Chief Secretary B.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Culture Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretaries to CM Ashok Varnwal and S.K. Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Sanchi Boddh Vishwavidyalaya Prof. Yageshwar S. Shastri and Members of General Council were present in the meeting.-Window To News
