Talented disabled students also to get laptops

Bhopal: Disabled students will also be provided laptops and tricycles under the Chief Minister’s Disabled Education Incentive Scheme. Disabled students of Class IXth who have passed with minimum 50 percent marks will be benefitted under the scheme. Giving this information Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Gopal Bhargav said that this scheme will benefit about one thousand disabled students.
Under this scheme run by Department of Panchayat and Social Justice, vision impaired, hearing impaired, students with bone deformities and mentally retarded students with minimum 50 percent marks in Class IXth and those who have been admitted in Class Xth or in ITI will be benefitted. On taking admission in ITI, the disabled students who have taken admission in courses related to computer operator, programming assistant or computer will be given laptops.
Students with bone deformities and who have passed Class Xth and are taking admission in graduate courses and whose 60 percent or more body below the waist will be provided motor tricycles. It has been made clear in the scheme that the beneficiaries will be provided this facility on one time admission.-Window To News
