​Yatra Accorded Grand Welcome at Mudiyakheda, Bikore and Khargavli on 35th Day

Sadhvi Pragya Bharti Gives Message of Beti Bachao–Beti Padhao
 
Bhopal : ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ –Seva Yatra proceeded for Khargavli on its 35th day from Ganera of Hoshangabad district today. Yatra was accorded grand welcome by the villagers at Khargavli. MLA  Vijaypal Singh performed pooja of yatra’s flag and kalash beside kanya poojan. An enchanting presentation of Narmada bhajans was given by Mahadev Bhajan Mandli. Moving ahead yatra was given warm reception at Mundiyakhedi by the villagers. Enthusiasm was seen among the villagers towards this yatra. Villagers welcomed the yatra by showering flowers and decorated their houses with rangolis and toran gates.
 
MLA  Vijaypal Singh expressed gratitude towards the villagers for historical welcome. He informed that yatra is being carried out to make Narmada River free of pollution. He inspired the villagers maintain cleanliness of Narmada River and to undertake plantation on large scale.
 
Giving a message of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Sadhvi Pragya Bharti said that when Narmada do not discriminate in giving water to the people, in the same way women should also not discriminate between a boy and girl child. She administered pledge to the villagers to make Maa Narmada free from pollution. Chairman Madhya Pradesh Warehousing Corporation  Rajendra Singh Rajput said that Narmada Seva yatra is a unique yatra. Sant community, eminent citizens, villagers, voluntary organisations, public representatives and common men all have participated in the yatra. He told the villagers not to release sewage water and to offer green chunri to Narmada River by undertaking plantation on both the banks of the Narmada.
 
Plantation on large scale was undertaken at Mundiyakhedi on the occasion. After Mundiyakhedi, yatra reached Bikore where Narmadashtak path was recited by the student Swati Sharma. A team of school girls presented welcome song and an attractive presentation of tribal folk dance was presented by the folk artists of Nyadhai.
 
After Bikore, yatra reached Aaharkheda and Dhan where it was accorded welcome by the villagers. The yatra will stay back at Goodhla and will proceed for Hoshangabad at 9.00 a.m. on January 16 covering Shukkarbadakalan, Gora, Chaandla and Bandrabhan. Yatra will take night halt at Setani Ghat.-WTN
